Hey there! My name is Samuel Petty and I serve as the founder, visionary, and chief operator of One Identity Movement.
To be completely honest a few months ago this was only a dream, that had been birthed out of an intense time of prayer and reliance of God, for His direction in my life. And surprisingly, from this time of “seeking” I was found by God and given one word, “Identity.”
Now I must be very clear, at its inception I did not have the slightest of clues as to what this word meant of how it’s spiritual symbolism would factor into my daily life . However, I found great comfort in the of Proverbs 11:14 MSG, “the more wise counsel you follow the better your chances of success.” In fact, it was out of this season of listening, hearing, and receiving from God and other voices of wisdom in my life, that I learned more about myself, my calling as a Christian, and my duties as a man; which changed my heart and ultimately produced this business.
“One Identity Movement” is exactly that, a movement of people who desire nothing more than to be like Jesus, sound like Jesus, live like Jesus, and even smell like Jesus(Lol!) in a world that I does not. Through prayer and direction from God, I have come to learn that “His Image, is Our Identity.” This is a truth I choose to live by and one I vow to share with everyone I come in contact with. And what better way to spread this, than through the clothes that I wear!
As the main designer of this brand, my desire is for each of these items of clothing to do two things: 1) spark simple conversations that will merge into deepening relationships, new found freedom, and real identity in Christ; 2) for wearer to never forget their real identity. As life presents intense mountains and sublime valleys, my desire is that they would never allow their current circumstances to define their self or their God.
I believe that the world is in such a great need for truth, life, and divine hope. As a Christian man I am unshakable in my belief that this answer is found in Jesus and Invite you to believe and trust the same.
As you scroll through each photo and hopefully decide on an item(s) of clothing to purchase, know all profits are going to support one truth: Jesus as the Identity of all! Whether it be through missions, outreaches, or simple acts of kindness, nothing goes unnoticed or lacking in value.
